The Whisky Capital of the World
The Moray coast and Speyside valley are home to over half of Scotland's malt whisky distilleries — including Glenfiddich, The Glenlivet, and Macallan — set against a backdrop of fertile lowland farming, ancient castles, and some of the Highlands' most accessible scenery.
Moray's economy has diversified beyond whisky, with RAF Lossiemouth as a major employer, growing tourism along the Malt Whisky Trail, and food & drink processing centred on Baxters of Fochabers. The Moray Growth Deal is investing £320m in the region.
Moray Growth Deal funding, HIE Moray, Scotland Food & Drink support, Rural Development Contracts, Moray Council business support.
